The hotel is newly remodeled with a very tasteful design. Th breakfast buffet was exceptional with a lot of options and the cappuccino was delightful. the staff was very accommodating and helpful with answering questions about the city, making arrangements and even loading suitcases into the taxi!

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Smeraldo. The location is excellent; it was wonderful being close to shopping, wonderful restaurants, etc. and the rooms were well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning, and the staff is top-notch. One of our family members needed to see a dentist, and the staff even directed us to a local dentist a short distance away. They went out of their way to ensure a delightful experience. Many thanks!

The location is right in the center of everything. Only a 20-25 min to some of the major attractions (colosseum, fountain, Pantheon, etc). The staff was also able to book us a hotel to the airport in the morning.

Breakfast was even more amazing than expected. Location was very central - able to walk to both Colosseum and Trevi. Receptionist Emanuelle was very kind and helpful to us. Modern renovated room in annex was just across the lane. Views from rooftop bar in main building were fantastic.

The hotel is well placed near a lot of the famous sites. The staff are wonderful. This was my third visit, the last being in 2019. The breakfasts were excellent - hot and cold food. Lovely roof top bar.

Absolutely loved the location. Perfect for walking to most of the attractions, we walked to everything except the Vatican. Roscioli is right over the road, and they have a little seating area for hotel guests where you can get your pizza and enjoy a rest. The restaurant Roscioli is also just there, and was great to get a booking there, then just walk 50m to the hotel. Fatamorgana the best gelato place is too, as well as two family owned leather stores that are great value. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, and they made you a decent coffee there too.
